HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Assessments are made against units of competency from the Certificate III in Hospitality SIT30616.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. You must enrol at least two weeks prior to the start date, upon which you will be given a First Aid Workbook to be completed and brought to class. A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion.
You will need to provide a USI (Unique Identification) number on enrolment in this class. You can create your own USI on your SmartPhone, Tablet or Computer at: http://usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/Pages/default.aspx

This courses includes HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. If you require re-certification (every 12 months) for this unit. Cost $60.00 (attending the first 2 hours only)

What to Bring

  • Pen and paper.
  • Completed First Aid Workbook (to be picked up or will be posted to you at least a week prior to the class).

PLEASE NOTE: Photo identification is required when attending as part of nationally recognised course requirements.

Outcomes/ Benefits

This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to manage emergency episodes and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support. To maintain the currency and validity of your skills, industry requires a First Aid Update course to be completed every 3 years from the date of final assessment.
